2018 Harvest - Fuado's Harvest Pomegranate Vinegar 120ml
Like the olive oils, we are certain the pomegranate vinegar are untampered with because every October, the Salut Lebanon team travels to Lebanon to harvest and press the world’s best extra virgin olive oil and leave only after the bottled oil is shipped out.
Sour pomegranates are hand-harvested to prevent damage. Concentrated, undiluted juice from the seed pods (arils) of the fruit is then slow-cooked for 9 hours until it becomes a reduction (pomegranate vinegar). 100% additive-free, the pomegranate vinegar has a refreshing sour taste nicely balanced by a subtle tinge of natural sweetness.
Salad dressing – Mix pomegranate vinegar with extra virgin olive oil and lemon juice. (Optional: Add chopped onions, garlic and mint leaves. Season with salt and pepper).
Bread dip: Mix pomegranate vinegar and extra virgin olive oil.
Marinate: Perfect with lamb. A healthy replacement for ketchup in sweet & sour pork.
Sauce: Serve sparingly with pan-seared foie gras.
With dessert: Drizzle pomegranate vinegar over ice-cream, yoghurt, cheesecake or any dessert of one’s choice. Heavenly drizzled over a dark chocolate cake.
A nightcap: Dissolve 2 teaspoons of honey in warm water, add 1 teaspoon of pomegranate vinegar and stir well. Makes a warm comforting concoction ideal for relaxation yet bursting with anti-oxidants.
